Kathryn Bentley is a Los Angeles based jewelry and accessories designer. A Texas native, Kathryn moved to New York to study Fine Art at School of Visual Arts. Upon graduating she went on to work for designer Philip Crangi before entering an apprenticeship where she studied and practiced the craft of jewelry design through wax mold carving and metalsmithing. While still living in New York, Kathryn started her namesake fine jewelry collection in 2008 followed by a cross country relocation to Los Angeles and the launch of her high-end costume jewelry line Dream Collective in 2010.

Defined by a fusion of handmade craftsmanship and artistic detail Kathryn Bentley's pieces embody a refined ease and timeless sensibility. With references to indigenous cultures and primordial forms her collections combine roughly hewn shapes and raw textures to achieve a primal and natural delicacy.

In the spring of 2012 Kathryn Bentley opened her first flagship store, Dream Collective, in Los Angeles. The space situated on Micheltorena and Sunset Boulevard is located in the heart of Silver Lake's vibrant artist community. In addition to showcasing both Kathryn's fine and costume jewelry collections the space is dedicated to presenting a carefully curated selection of clothing, accessories, footwear, apothecary, ceramics, home goods and artwork by like-minded and local designers.

Kathryn Bentley's designs are sold in over 100 of the most discerning retailers, including Creatures of Comfort, Jenni Kayne, Steven Alan and Ten Over Six.

All pieces are handmade with integrity in the United States.
